jacaranda season

During October and November the Jacaranda Tree creates a spectacular display of purple through many Brisbane streets and avenues.

Remember the Arbour winding it's way through the South Bank Parklands? Here's another view against a backdrop of purple. Photo by Smurfie.

Jacaranda trees are just going off season now. Best time to see them here in Brisbane is late October to early November. But if you miss them don't worry - from now until Christmas the beautiful Poinsianas are coming into season.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for all your well wishes. I have missed visiting you guys these past two weeks!

This morning we hitched our wagon ('trailer')to the car and have carefully packed all our worldly goods. We almost feel like pioneers (only our rig has fully independent suspension, air conditioning, cruise control and about 150 horse power)! :-o)

I'll let you know how we have settled in down in the south east of the country.

At this stage getting access to internet for a month or so may be difficult. So please don't worry if you don't hear from me for a few weeks. Until then..

Hugs & love

OMGosh, those trees are breathtaking. I could just live underneath those trees just to be able to look at them each day. I have never seen anything like that in my life. Thank you!

Dear Friends,

Thanks for your beautiful well wishes :-o). You'll be happy to know we've moved into our new home and are loving our new location!

Next week we leave for the Lakes & Wilderness region of Victoria for awhile. We'll be travelling back and forth for a few months while Bryan helps friends build a new home in the 'back country').

We should be fully settled here in Albury-Wodonga around Feb/March 2009!

Thanks for staying in touch!

Hugs,
Kalianne xo

Dear Friends!

We are still (temporarily)living in a beautiful remote wilderness area. We have no phone at home or internet. No TV. No mod cons. But the beauty and serenity of the area far outweighs any hardships! It's a long drive into town to access Blogger and there are time limits on the public internet!

We should be back in civilization anytime from late March to Early May 2009. I hope to resume posting then!

Miss you all much,
Kelleigh xo
